MARK JOHNSON (Producer), an Academy Award-winning producer who has worked with such directors as Barry Levinson, Steven Soderbergh, Paul Mazursky and Robert Redford, remains one of the busiest creative talents in film and television. He recently served as executive producer of "The Astronaut’s Wife," starring Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron, and as producer of "Home Fries," starring Drew Barrymore and Luke Wilson. He also executive produced the CBS series "L.A. Doctors," written by John Lee Hancock.

Johnson produced the critically acclaimed films "Donnie Brasco," starring Al Pacino and Johnny Depp; "A Little Princess," directed by Alfonso Cuaron; and the international hit "A Perfect World," starring Kevin Costner and Clint Eastwood.

Before going independent, Johnson produced all of director Barry Levinson’s films beginning with his 1982 debut "Diner," which Johnson executive produced. This was followed by "The Natural," "Young Sherlock Holmes," "Tin Men," "Good Morning Vietnam," "Rain Man" (which won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture), "Avalon," "Bugsy" (nominated for 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture), "Toys" and "Jimmy Hollywood." Johnson was also honored with Golden Globe Awards for both "Rain Man" and "Bugsy."

He served as executive producer of Steven Soderbergh’s "Kafka" and presented, with Levinson, the 1990 Oscar-winning foreign language film "Journey of Hope" and the acclaimed political satire "Bob Roberts." Levinson’s and Johnson’s Baltimore Pictures also produced "Quiz Show," directed by Robert Redford.

Johnson began his career as a production assistant on director Paul Mazursky’s "Next Stop, Greenwich Village." He served as assistant director on such films as "Movie, Movie," "The Brinks Job," "Escape from Alcatraz" and "High Anxiety," where he first met Levinson, who was one of the film’s writers.

He is executive producer of the new CBS television drama series "Falcone," based on the film "Donnie Brasco," and is producer of the science-fiction film "Galaxy Quest," starring Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver and directed by Dean Parisot.
