JAMES
L. CARTER (Director of Photography) caps a long line of independent
films with his work on "My Dog Skip." Most recently he
served as DP on "Phoenix," "Gunfighters Moon"
and "Destiny Turns On the Radio." His other feature
work includes Carl Franklins "One False Move," "F.T.W.,"
"Roadkillers" and "Back to Back."Carter most
recently served as a cinematographer on two CBS series, "Family
Law" and "Michael Hayes"; he has also brought his
trained eye to such movies, pilots and miniseries as "Payback,"
"Dying to be Perfect: The Ellen Hart Pena Story," "Torn
Between Two Fathers" (for which he earned an Emmy Award), "The
Perfect Date," "Orleans," "A Message from Holly,"
"Justice in a Small Town," "Web of Deception,"
"True Tales" and the Universal telefilm "Darkman."
He was nominated for an ASC Award for the "Imagine PTI"
episode of "Michael Hayes."
Carter
served as director of photography for the telefilm "A Body
to Die For," the miniseries "Grand Avenue" for HBO
and the television movies "Ruby, Jean & Joe" with
Tom Selleck and "Convict Cowboy," starring Jon Voight,
for Showtime.
